Dora The Bear

Slowly, but surely, I am back, bit by bit.  So, I am only six months behind now?  We'll get there!  While I was pregnant with Charlotte, Allison constantly told us she wanted to get Charlotte a teddy bear.  We thought it was so sweet.  We decided to make it special.  We took her to "Build A Bear" for the first time to make a special bear for her new baby sister.

 Allison chose the most COLORFUL bear in the store!  I affectionately call it "the Grateful Dead" bear.  She has peace signs, stars, hearts and color EVERYWHERE!

 After she was "stuffed," she had a "bath."

 Then Allison had to complete the "birth certificate."  Allison decided to name the bear, "Dora."

 She just needs some clothes!

Naturally, Allison seemed to fall in love with Dora the Bear.  Nick and I had a feeling Baby Charlotte would never see that bear.  Honestly, it was fine with us if Allison decided to keep her.  Little did we know, we totally misread things.  On Charlotte's first morning home, Allison gave her the bear.  It was completely on her own and not at all prompted by us.  It is a moment I will always remember and hold dear.  Sisterly love!
