Happy 9 Month Birthday, Allison!

Believe it or not, our little miss is nine months old! I can't believe it! July 17 was her big day! Only 3 more months then we will have to start counting in year increments...cringe! Here is some vital information on Miss Allison:

Size: Allison is 16 pounds 11 ounces. She is 24 1/2 inches long. Dr. Walsh describes her as "petite." She is in the twentieth percentile of children her age on her weight, height and head circumference. We finally made it on the charts. For so many months baby Allison was not even on the charts, but her growth is steady and in sync; that is the important thing. I told her not to worry. If she stays like this, she can just wear sample sizes when she is grown! As for clothes, she currently wears 6-9 months and a few 9-12 months.

Sleep: Allison sleeps A LOT! She sleeps about 10-12 hours a night and is currently taking two 1 1/2-2 hour naps a day. Napping was a struggle until she started crawling!

Vocabulary: My vocal baby is always making noises or laughing. She has three words that we can clearly understand: "Dada," "Hi," and "Baby." Yes, that's right...no mama yet! Someday!

Mouth: Allison has one tooth! It surfaced when she was 8 1/2 months old! We are currently working on another one.

Diet: Everything. Allison loves to eat. She is still nursing and supplements with a little bit of soy formula daily. But her true love is "big girl food." She loves all big girl food! Favorites include, but are not limited to: goldfish crackers, Cheerios, string cheese, Boca Soy Chicken Patties, green beans, macaroni and cheese, dill pickles, watermelon, pineapple, bananas, avocado, etc., etc. The list could go on and on. She certainly prefers foods which she is able to feed herself. I like to call her, "Miss Independent."

Activities: Allison is a very quick "army crawler." She found a quick way to get around and I do not know if she will ever crawl "correctly." The doctor said her way was just fine!
She loves to wave! She waves at everything and everyone including the TV, Margo and herself in the mirror. She loves "crib time." Sometimes I just put her in her crib to play for a while and she loves it. I feel so blessed she can entertain herself. She still goes for runs with me daily in her BOB. She also goes to an hour of Zumba or an hour of boot camp four days a week. Zumba is Monday and Wednesday and boot camp is Tuesday and Thursday. She is so great and enjoys watching Mommy and her friends look silly!
She loves TV. Sesame Street and Barney are still the current favorites. She also loves to have books read to her.
She is trying very hard to stand on her own. I have a feeling it will be very soon!
Allison still goes to work with me about once a week for a few hours. Some days she is great, some days, not so much...it just depends.
She still loves to swim we go to the pool at least three times a week if not more!
She loves to play "peek a boo!"
She loves to chase Margo. If Margo is around, she is happy!
She is mastering the art of the sippy cup.
Allison still loves her "Johnny Jump Up."
She is learning "No!" and "Do Not Touch!" I might be jinxing myself by saying this, but she listens pretty well and for the most part respects our wishes and stops trying to grab whatever she is aiming for.
Though she is sleeping a lot, she would probably sleep more if she did not fight sleep so badly! She does not want to miss a thing!

We love you, sweet girl! Happy 9 months! It is going incredibly too fast, but we love every second of it!

These pictures were taken on July 16. Allison was laughing so hard in her crib, when I went to check on her, she was sitting on her mirror. She was very proud!
