A Footed PJs Kind of Day

In the words of one of my favorite bands, Better Than Ezra:

“Well, there's a feeling in the air
Just like a Friday afternoon.
Yeah, you can go there if you want
Though it fades too soon.

So go on, let it be.
If there's a feeling coming over me,
Seems like it's always understood this time of year.

Well, I know there's a reason to change.
Well, I know there's a time for us.
You think about the good times
And you live with all the bad.
You can feel it in the air,
Feeling right this time of year.

Well, there's a football in the air,
Across a leaf blown field.
Yeah, and there's your first car on the road,
And the girl you'd steal."

I love the song, This Time of Year by Better Than Ezra. It reminds me of crisp, fall days, leaves blowing in the wind and Friday night football. The month of September welcomed itself yesterday. I hope it will sit back, relax and stay a while. What a blessing to have absolutely delightful weather! The mornings have been incredibly cool and crisp. So cool in fact, that Allison must wear footed pajamas on our morning runs. It is such and adjustment to go from wearing a little onesie without any pants to bundling her up in warm clothes. After our run this morning, Allison played for a bit in her room. Afterwards, we headed to Zumba and a day of working on decorations for HOPE. She was a trooper and likes wearing her long PJs again! I wish I had some! Too cute!
